Calling all crafters for a very special Christmas project
27th October 2020
< BACK TO NEWSThe crafting community of Dorset has been particularly generous toward Weldmar Hospicecare with their time, skills, and resources during the Covis-19 pandemic.
We’ve been lucky enough to receive everything from funky and colourful scrubs, to knitted expanders to make face masks more comfortable to wear.
Now, we have a festive favour to ask of anyone who can knit! We are planning some special gifts for our patients this Christmas, and would like to include a knitted Christmas pudding – inside of which we will put a little treat.
We all know that Christmas this year will be a difficult one, with social distancing and restrictions on the numbers of people who can get together. Our patients, of course, have to take stricter measures due to how vulnerable they are to the risks of coronavirus.
If you would like to get knitting for us, we have a pattern for you to follow, which you can download below.
We would ask that any donations come to us by Monday 30th November, and are delivered to our Inpatient Unit on Herringston Road in Dorchester, or your local Weldmar shop.
