Anyone working with patients and families, wishing to deepen their understanding of the importance of providing spiritual care within the hospice environment.
Course Content:
Delegates will be encouraged to develop an understanding, through reflection and the sharing of ideas, on what they feel spirituality is (and isn’t), how they feel about our own spirituality. Delegates will reflect on how we can ensure we’re best meeting the spiritual needs of those in our care.
Learning Outcomes:
Reflection of one’s own sense of spirituality
Understanding of total pain and spiritual distress
Potential barriers to providing spiritual care
Practical ways to offer support
A Weldmar Hospicecare certificate will be provided upon completion.
