Day 7 – Knapor – Preah Bat Than – Beng Mealea – Thlok Veary Pagoda
Today’s adventure takes us deeper into the jungle, trekking through dense foliage to eventually reach the serene Prea Bat Than Buddhist Temple for a well-deserved lunch break. This afternoon is a real highlight of the trek, exploring Beng Melea Temple, known as the ‘Jungle Temple’ with its ruins still entangled by trees. After our visit the bus will be waiting to take us to our next base, a local Buddhist Temple where we spend two nights inside the monastery.
Accommodation: Thlok Veary Pagoda
Transfers: 10-15 mins after trek to temple, and then 45 mins in vehicle at end of the day
Trek: 15 kms/7 hrs (undulating and rugged underfoot)
