It’s a common British phrase that we’ve all used: ‘What a small world!’

The team in Weldmar Hospicecare’s Wimborne shop have been saying that this week, following the visit of charity shop customer Ben Pritchard, and his wife Cathy, who popped into the shop to have a browse.

The couple, from Oxford, were visiting Wimborne for the first time, and picked up a small pot from the shelf, that Assistant Manager Lynne Farwell had put on display there earlier that day.

Mr Pritchard took it to the counter, looking rather amazed, and said, “I made this pot!”.

It turns out that he had made it during evening classes at Oxford College of Further Education in 1988!  His initials, and the date, were marked on the bottom.

He told the team in the shop that he had no idea what had become of his little creation, but was absolutely thrilled to be reunited with it, and be able to take it back home to Oxford!
