Join The Weldmar Team
When you think about working for a hospice charity, you will probably immediately think of doctors and nurses. They are, of course, an essential part of the care that we provide to adults with a life limiting illness in Dorset, but we could not do what we do without an incredible hardworking team behind them, both staff and volunteers.
We are a friendly organisation, where each employee and volunteer is valued for the contribution and the difference they make.
Our careers and jobs in Dorset include clinical positions in the community and at our Inpatient Unit, therapists, counsellors, social workers, catering, housekeeping and maintenance, across our chain of charity shops, and head office functions such as fundraising, finance, administration, and marketing.
If you would like to join #TeamWeldmar as a volunteer, we would love to hear from you, whether you’re interested in lending a hand in one of our shops, serving meals to patients, providing counselling to loved ones, or helping out at a fundraising event.

What difference will you make?
If you want to know the kind of difference that Weldmar Hospicecare makes to the lives of local people, we suggest you read some of the personal stories that we have shared. The incredible things that are said about our service is purely down to the individuals who work and volunteer for us.
This card, from one of our younger visitors, was sent to our team with words that she thought described us.
You could be helping to make that difference.

We spoke to three members of staff studying for qualifications as part of their role.
