We urgently need volunteers for our St Thomas Street shop in Weymouth!

If you’d like to help out at our St Thomas Street Charity Shop in Weymouth, we would love to hear from you!

Even if it’s a couple of hours each week, giving your time ultimately leads to Weldmar Hospicecare being able to provide specialist care to local people living with a life limiting illness, as well as support to their loved ones.

Volunteering at our shop means you could be serving at the till, sorting through donations, or helping to ensure the shop is tidy, well stocked, and welcoming.  We can make sure that you find something that suits you and your skills, abilities, and experience.

The minimum volunteer age is 14 yrs at St Thomas Street, which is ideal for someone looking to complete their community service part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, subject to relevant clearance checks.

  • Our Policy

All successful patient care volunteers will be asked to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) form. It is important for us to gain and retain personal information about you, such as your contact details, so we are able to communicate with you in the way that you desire, to help fulfil your volunteer role, and to keep you informed as reasonably and effectively as possible.
