Volunteer Trustee Role (Commercial expertise)

< BACK TO VOLUNTEERING

Weldmar is looking for someone from a commercial background to join our board of Trustees.

The successful applicant will be someone who can use their skills and experience to act in the best interest of the charity and company and the beneficiaries. We are not always looking for an expert in a particular field but for someone who can take reasonable steps to find out more.

As a Trustee with a business/commercial background you will strengthen our board with your experience, actively participating in Trustee meetings which occur six times a year and contributing to specialist committee sessions.

An interest in IT would be helpful, but not essential. You will help our Trustees make informed decisions, aiding the Chief Executive in achieving Weldmar’s strategic goals and objectives. As an Ambassador for Weldmar Hospicecare, you will embody our values of Caring, Integrity, Welcoming, and Adaptable when engaging with staff, volunteers, supporters, and service users.

Candidates should live locally to Dorset and have experience or an interest in committee membership and (corporate or voluntary) an understanding of non-executive roles.
