We know it’s not long to go until Christmas when our Light up a Life trees begin to go up around Dorset.
Services of remembrance will be taking place this year at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, and in Bridport, Sherborne, Gillingham, and Wareham.
We also have a brand new Light up a Life venue this year, as we introduce a service at the Crown Hotel in Blandford, and a new venue for our Weymouth service, which is moving to Lodmoor Country Park due to the ongoing works in the usual location of Brewers Quay.
Light Up a Life this Christmas
Members of Weymouth Town Council and Trinity Street Christmas Trees joined us at Lodmoor to install the tree ready for the service on Sunday 11th December at 5pm, and our thanks also go to Chris Larner Building Services for preparing the site beforehand.
Trinity Street Christmas Trees then placed on our tree outside the Inpatient Unit on Herringston Road.
You can dedicate a light on any of our Light up a Life trees to remember a loved one who will be missed this Christmas, whether they were cared for or not by Weldmar Hospicecare. You are also welcome to join us at your local Light up a Life service, and once you have dedicated a light we will send you a copy of the order of service, and a special wooden star to hang on the tree, or your own Christmas tree if you prefer.
