Remember a loved one with a dedication on our Memory Elephant during Stampede by the Sea
They say that elephants never forget, and this incredible sculpture includes a beautiful and permanent way to remember your loved one – both those who experienced Weldmar’s compassion and care, and the wider community in Dorset.
It will be part of our stunning art trail in Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis in spring 2025, and then find its forever home at our Inpatient Unit gardens in Dorchester.
Each of the hearts on our elephant is painted in the colours of the uniforms at Weldmar representing the staff who provide exceptional care every day at both our Inpatient Unit and across the community. The name of your loved one can be hand painted onto our Memory Elephant.
This very special elephant will be part of Weldmar’s Stampede by the Sea trail, but afterwards it will make a final journey to the grounds of our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, where it will become a lasting tribute to all those memorialised on its body.
Remember your loved one in return for a donation of £50 to Weldmar Hospicecare, which will help fund the continuation of our care across Dorset, enabling more families to spend precious moments together.

“Grief is a journey we’re here to walk with you, one small step at a time.”
