Leaving a gift in your Will for Weldmar

After providing for your family and friends, by leaving a gift in your will to Weldmar Hospicecare you could, in a very special way, help to ensure the continuation of caring work after your lifetime.

Did you know that money left to us in Wills contribute almost 30% of our income, meaning that one in three patients is cared for directly as a result of of these gifts?

Because we don’t receive the money now but in the future, it means that we can build and plan ahead for our care for future generations, and it doesn’t cost you anything in your lifetime. Gifts can be a lump sum or a percentage of what you leave behind, so can be affordable no matter what your circumstances.

We can send you a useful information pack, or you can write your will online, free, quickly, and securely.

Any gift you make will be exempt from inheritance tax so all of it can be used by Weldmar.

Weldmar Hospicecare

My name is Anton Harler and I would like to tell you about my experience with Weldmar Hospicecare.

In 2011, my late wife Gill was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, from which she passed away in 2017. During her journey she found Weldmar Hospicecare extremely helpful. She used to attend Day Services (now our Wellbeing Support Sessions) in Dorchester every Tuesday where she met other patients who were in a similar position. They had a number of therapies including arts and crafts, Gill really enjoyed and valued the day.

During the last weeks of her life at home she was cared for by Weldmar nurses, for which I cannot thank them enough. The support was there for me too and that’s a fantastic thing. Weldmar’s care for both Gill and I meant a great deal, it gave a lot of comfort, and you know they’re always on hand when you need help.

As none of us know when we might need the help from Weldmar I’m appealing to you to consider leaving them a beneficiary in your Will. Thank you.

Weldmar Hospicecare

By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help people like Ellie, and her young family, who were cared for by Weldmar.

She told us: “I feel like I must be the only person here sometimes, it is so peaceful. I ring my bell and the nurses are straight in, often they have the time to stay and talk to me, especially when I am in pain. They are all so comforting, I feel like I’m surrounded by the most lovely friends”

Leaving a gift in your Will will help us to provide care like this, and so much more, for those who need it in future.
