News Our Services

One of the things that Jo Jury and Chloe Hook from Weldmar Hospicecare’s Family Support Services team do is make sure the carers of our patients are well looked after themselves.

Very often, family members and loved ones of patients, who are in the last year of their life, will be their main carer at home.  This is a job that comes with its own stress and pressure.

Jo and Chloe produce a regular newsletter for carers – not only those of Weldmar patients, but any unpaid carer in Dorset could benefit from the information shared.  This issue tells you how to apply for the Dorset Council Carers’ Card, how to reduce utility bills for people with a medical condition,  and more.
