Weldmar at Home’s Georgia: “I would recommend anyone who is thinking of applying for an Apprenticeship to absolutely go for it!”

< BACK TO NEWSThe Weldmar at Home team provides hands on care to patients with very advanced illness, in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own home. Weldmar prides itself on giving employees the opportunity to learn and develop whilst in their roles, and currently four Weldmar at Home team members are undertaking Apprenticeships from level 3 up to level 5.
Georgia Daw is one of the Weldmar at Home Team members currently undertaking an Apprenticeship. She started working for Weldmar in June 2021 when the at service started and is studying for a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship through Yeovil College. “The experience so far has been amazing. The apprenticeship team at Yeovil college are incredibly supportive and are always available to help with coursework. The relationship I have made with my tutor is brilliant, she is extremely informative, understanding and helpful.”
Georgia has also found the help and support at Weldmar to be invaluable, “The education team at Weldmar have also been very inspiring and great to learn from, giving lots of study time, guidance and encouragement.”
She has acquired a lot of Palliative Care knowledge through her studies, and is looking forward to gaining the qualification at the end. “I am so glad I accepted the challenge and look forward to progressing my career further.”
