All aboard! Weymouth Land Train supporting Weldmar Hospicecare for a second successive summer

One of the most fun ways to travel around Weymouth is on the town’s Land Train, taking in the seafront, the iconic lifting bridge, and the historic harbour – and we’re delighted that proceeds from Land Train group bookings will be coming to Weldmar Hospicecare this summer.

The group tours are available for up to 40 people, and cost £50.

The Land Train, which earlier this year was commended in the New Tourism Business category at the Dorset Tourism Awards, follows a circular route from the seafront, across the Town Bridge into Hope Square. Patrons are able to hop on and off at Hope Square for the Nothe Fort & Gardens, Newton’s Cove, Stone Pier, and the harbour.

This year for the first time, the Weymouth Land Train has also teamed up with two local businesses with their “Just the Ticket” deals. Passengers can simply show their land train ticket for a ‘2 for 1’ deal on main meals at Prezzo in the town, and claim a ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price’ offer with Coastline Cruises.

We hope to bring a lot of joy to the groups who ride on the train whilst raising vital funds for Weldmar Hospicecare, providing specialist care for local adults who have a life-limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.”
