You will be in safe hands with your experienced instructors for the day, from local Portland-based outdoor activity company Adventure4All.

It’s just £25 per person to sign up, but we do ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £150 for taking part in this incredible experience! You will be supported on your fundraising journey by our Fundraising Team, and you can also find lots of ideas and suggestions in our Fundraising Hub. Frequently asked questions

What time do I need to arrive, and how long will I be there for?

This is going to be dependant on numbers and how we split the groups.

We are anticipating staggered start times and small groups every hour – we will let you know your start time closer to the date.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your start time and allow up to 2 hours to take part.

How high is the abseil?

Up to 50m.

Will it still go ahead if the weather is bad?

If the weather is so bad that it is dangerous on the cliff tops we will have to postpone, however we aren’t afraid of a little rain!

I have an ongoing health condition, can I still take part?

Yes.

We recommend seeking advice from a GP first though. Any health conditions should be disclosed upon booking.

Is there a minimum, or maximum age limit, or weight limit?

16+ years with no maximum age limit.

The weight limit for participants is 120kg.

Participants need to be relatively fit and healthy, and able to negotiate uneven climbing paths and a scramble back up.

What does my registration fee cover?

Our registration fee covers the costs for you to participate in the challenge, and also includes a fundraising pack from our team.

If you have any questions about the abseil challenge that isn’t listed in these FAQs please contact the Fundraising Team on 01305 261800 or email fundraisers@weld-hospice.org.uk

Is there somewhere to park my car?
