A lorry load of love for Weldmar Hospicecare thanks to Cains Farm Transport

A striking new billboard is taking to the road in Dorset to help raise awareness and vital funds for Weldmar Hospicecare.

The eye catching advert is on each side of a lorry operated by Cains Farm Transport, based in Chideock, who pledged their support to the Dorset charity.

The family run business first became involved with Weldmar during the Stampede by the Sea art trail in the spring of 2025, helping to transport and install elephant sculptures in locations across the west of the county. Once the trail had concluded, they decided that they wanted to continue showing their support, and generously offered the sides of their lorry to encourage donations.

Each of the curtains measures a huge 13.55m long, and just over 3m high, and incorporates an image of the iconic ‘Memory Elephant’ from Stampede by the Sea – a sculpture that now has a permanent home at in the gardens of Weldmar’s Inpatient Unit in Dorchester.

Ben Brown and Rory Brown from Cains Farm, Bonnie and Tash from the Weldmar’s Specialist Hospice at Home West Dorset team, and the charity’s Stampede by the Sea project leaders Gloria McCartney and James O’Neill, visited West Bay to launch the trailer’s new look:
