Brave the heights for hospice care and take part in Weldmar’s 2026 Abseil Challenge
30th January 2026
Weldmar Hospicecare is inviting thrill-seekers and community heroes to take a leap of faith this spring for the 2026 Weldmar Abseil Challenge.
Taking place on Sunday 10th May 2026, the event will see brave supporters descend the iconic cliffs of Portland. This exhilarating challenge offers participants a unique perspective of the Jurassic Coast while raising vital funds for specialist hospice care across Dorset.
Weldmar has once again partnered with Portland-based outdoor activity company Adventure4All, to ensure an unforgettable experience with professional instructors. Participants will embark on the challenge in small groups throughout the day, receiving full technical support as they face their fears and head over the edge.
“Our abseil challenge is more than just an adrenaline rush,” says Eden Fraser from Weldmar Hospicecare’s fundraising team, who leads the event. “It’s a chance for our supporters to do something extraordinary. Every penny raised goes directly towards providing specialist care for our patients and supporting their loved ones during the most difficult times.”
