Even bigger savings on quality items, as Weldmar’s first Clearance shop opens in Weymouth town centre

< BACK TO NEWSWeldmar Hospicecare has re-opened it’s charity shop on Great George Street in Weymouth following a refurbishment – with an extra change.
The shop has become the charity’s first Clearance shop in the town, meaning that all donated products are being sold at 50% of their original sale price.
As well as contributing to the end of life care provided by Weldmar, and giving local shoppers the opportunity to make even bigger savings, it also has an environmental and sustainability benefit as pre-loved items get an extra chance of finding a new home, rather than being discarded and going to landfill.
Weldmar has had a charity shop in Great George Street for twenty years, and manager Pauline Holt has been there since 2010. She says: “The new shop is absolutely fabulous. The staff and volunteers are very excited about new beginnings as a Clearance shop. I can’t wait to encourage new customers, and all our existing customers, to come along and support it.”
Anne was one of the first customers through the door, and told us: “I regularly come into the shop. It looks lovely, really nice, and lots of nice things in here. I will definitely be coming back, it looks brilliant.”
Weldmar also operates a Clearance Outlet on the Poundbury West Industrial Estate in Dorchester.
