Volunteer Trustee Role (Clinical expertise)

Weldmar is looking for someone with a medical, nursing or allied health professional background to join our board of Trustees.

The successful applicant will be passionate about using their skills to positively impact the local community and support individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

As a Trustee with a clinical background, you will strengthen our board with your expertise, actively participating in Trustee meetings and specialist committee sessions, which occur four times a year.

Your specific skills and knowledge will help our Trustees make informed decisions, aiding the Chief Executive in achieving Weldmar’s strategic goals and objectives. As an Ambassador for Weldmar Hospicecare, you will embody our values of Caring, Integrity, Welcoming, and Adaptable when engaging with staff, volunteers, supporters, and service users.

Candidates should live locally to Dorset and have experience or an interest in committee membership (corporate or voluntary) and an understanding of palliative care is desirable.

An Enhanced plus barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required for this role
