Are you a clinically experienced professional seeking a meaningful way to contribute your expertise?
Our services are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission and we are seeking clinically experienced Trustees to join our Board. If you have a desire to help us make a difference to the people of Dorset who need our services, we would be delighted to hear from you.
About the role:
Your specific skills and knowledge will help our Trustees make informed decisions, aiding the Chief Executive in achieving Weldmar’s strategic goals and objectives. As an Ambassador for Weldmar Hospicecare, you will embody our values of Caring, Integrity, Welcoming, and Adaptable when engaging with staff, volunteers, supporters, and service users.
About you:
We are fortunate to have a wealth of experience within our Trustee group already, so we are specifically looking for somebody with a Nursing or Allied Health background. You don’t need to have experience within palliative care, but should have a passion for supporting patients and providing exceptional care. Ideally you would live locally to Dorset.
An Enhanced plus barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required for this role
How much time do you need to give?
We’d need you to attend around 12 meetings a year (each take an afternoon). You will also need time to read the supporting papers and prepare. As your experience grows you may be invited to join one of the committees which have oversight of a different area of the charity’s work and governance; from financial, audit, people and clinical governance.
We would like to meet with shortlisted applicants within the first week of June 2025.
We look forward to hearing from you.
