Treasures are waiting to be discovered at Weldmar’s new look Weymouth Superstore
21st November 2025
Weldmar Hospicecare’s programme of refurbishments at it’s retail sites across Dorset continues, with the opening of the new look Weymouth Superstore today.
The retail site, at Oxford Court on the Granby Industrial Estate – previously known as Weymouth Outlet – reopened at 10am, with charity shop enthusiasts braving the queue in the cold weather ready to be the first to look for bargains in fashion and accessories, homeware, entertainment, and furniture.
Caroline Nickinson, Vice President of Weldmar, cut the ribbon, alongside Health Care Assistants Mel and Cheryl from the charity’s Specialist Hospice at Home Service.
Mrs Nickinson was one of the founding members of the hospice, and served as the Director of Fundraising for many years. She was very impressed with the new look to the store:
“I’m really impressed, it’s so light and bright and much more roomy. It’s nice for the customers to have a better view of items, and easier for the staff to manage, especially the stockroom. They’ve done a brilliant job. I was at Weldmar when it first opened on 1st June, 2011, and it was our first really big store. Look at it now – it’s the flagship of Weldmar shops!”
