We had some very special visitors to the Inpatient Unit, in Dorchester, over the weekend. Alpacas, Zeus and Wilson, from South Paddocks Ltd. in Winterborne Houghton, came to visit one of our patients, Ralph. Ralph’s niece had coordinated the visit as Ralph had talked about wanting to go out and visit the alpacas. During the visit Katie and Matthew, from the family run farm, shared lots of knowledge with Ralph about the cute animals, including what they looked like, as being blind, Ralph had never seen one before. Ralph got to stroke Zeus as he shared his own stories, from over the years, with Katie.
After the visit with Ralph and his family, the alpacas went to visit other patients and staff who wanted to see them. Thank you to South Paddocks Ltd. for sharing the joy of the alpacas with us.
