Weldmar set to benefit from this year’s Dorset County Show

Weldmar Hospicecare is thrilled to announce we’re a beneficiary of this year’s Dorset County Show. Held on September 6th and 7th at the showground in Dorchester, this spectacular event celebrates the best of Dorset’s agriculture, countryside, and rural life. We’re proud to be one of two nominated charities, alongside the Farming Community Network (FCN).

Jason Bowerman, Chair of the Dorset Agricultural Society, said, “It’s very exciting to be looking forward to this year’s Dorset County Show. It’s the culmination of a huge amount of work from our team. Our charities, Weldmar and the FCN, are really worthy causes that deserve all the support that people can give them.”

The fundraising kicks off this weekend with a charity night on Saturday, August 30th. Members of the Dorset Agricultural Society host an evening of fun with an Abba tribute band, where revellers can also learn more about Weldmar’s vital work.

At the show, you’ll find Weldmar’s Community Outreach Vehicle in a prime spot next to the popular Food Hall, which is now in an even larger marquee to accommodate over forty traders. Stop by and chat with our team to learn how we provide compassionate care and support to local families facing life limiting illnesses. We’ll also have information on how you can volunteer, fundraise, and support Weldmar.
