We’re looking for an experienced and motivated nurse, with a passion for palliative care to be an integral member of the Weldmar Community Nurse Team, working flexibly where needed across South and West Dorset to deliver high quality end of life care.

The Weldmar Community Relief Nurse is an additional post to ensure that we are always able to deliver a consistent service to our patients. Covering Weymouth and Portland, as well as Bridport and Lyme Regis areas, as required, you’ll be delivering high quality palliative care and symptom management to patients, alongside supporting families and carers.
You’ll provide guidance and support to health care professionals in other agencies and liaise effectively with local GPs and Community Nurses in the delivery of expert evidence based specialist palliative nursing care. Our own multi-disciplinary team will support you and you’ll benefit from a wealth of support services offered by Weldmar, including opportunities for ongoing professional development.
You’ll need to be enthusiastic and motivated, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide empathetic, emotional support to patients, families and carers. As a registered nurse, you will have knowledge of and a genuine interest in palliative care, and will have at least one year’s experience in a relevant clinical field – previous applicants may apply.
