As Collections and Delivery Driver you’ll be visiting customers at home, both to deliver larger purchased items, and also to assess the quality of donated goods for collection. You’ll need excellent customer service skills, the ability be a great team player, and be able to prioritise a range of tasks.
You’ll need to be confident around a goods van, both in driving, parking, and carrying out regular safety checks to ensure it is roadworthy, clean and maintained. Your manual handling experience will also ensure that stock is loaded and unloaded safely. Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in commercial driving and manual handling would be desirable, but full training will be provided.
Based at our Outlet on the Granby Industrial Estate, a good knowledge of the Weymouth area is essential.
You’ll need a valid driver’s license for the role, including previous experience of driving for commercial purposes, ideally with a retail, distribution or logistics environment. Due to insurance restrictions, the minimum age for candidates is 25.
