At Weldmar Hospicecare, our people are our most valuable resource. We are looking for a People Advisor to help us nurture a workplace culture where everyone, from our retail teams to our nurses and from our Support teams to our volunteers, can thrive.
This isn’t your typical HR role. Whilst you’ll be a ‘super-user’ of our HR systems and ensure our payroll and pensions run like clockwork, your real impact lies in engagement with our people. You will be the first point of contact for our team, offering coaching, guidance, and support across our full policy suite that ensures a fair and inclusive experience for all.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a responsive, people-focused advisor for managers and employees
- Lead on wellbeing initiatives and help us build on our pledge to be ‘a great place to work’
- Use your keen eye for detail to track key performance indicators like retention and diversity
- Work closely with our Volunteer Services Lead to support those who give their time so generously
You are likely CIPD Level 3 qualified (or have the equivalent experience) with a solid grasp of UK employment law. More importantly, you are a ‘people person’ – approachable, influential, and passionate about the employee experience.
A Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required for this role. This is a hybrid role working between home and our offices in Dorchester.
