Weymouth’s iconic Jubilee Clock lit up for Weldmar over Christmas and New Year

The famous clock on Weymouth’s seafront will glow in the colours of Weldmar Hospicecare over Christmas and New Year.

Until 2nd January, the Jubilee Clock will be illuminated in the striking blue, green and white of Weldmar.

Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Caroline Nickinson said: “Each year, Weymouth’s iconic Jubilee Clock is lit up in different colours to represent local charitable organisations, which helps to raise awareness of all the wonderful work that goes on in our town for the benefit of our communities. We consider it an honour to light up the landmark for such worthy causes, which really puts the spotlight on them.

“Every year the Town’s Mayor nominates a charity for their term in the role, and I am delighted to have chosen Weldmar to be my mine. There will not be many residents here in Weymouth whose family or friends have not been helped in some way by this amazing organisation and it is truly worthy of our support. We are proud to be lighting up the Jubilee Clock in blue, white and green to represent Weldmar”.
