Weldmar’s Jurassic Coast Challenge returns this September and you can register now
3rd May 2021
< BACK TO NEWSFor the first time in over a year, we’re delighted to be talking about a Weldmar fundraising event that is going ahead! With real people involved, not virtually on a screen!
Since the start of the Covid pandemic, we have had to cancel all of our events, which are a key source of income for us to provide our vital end of life services throughout Dorset.
We’re over the moon to announce that our Jurassic Coast Challenge will take place on Sunday 26th September. Walkers can choose from either a 26 or 13 mile route, each taking in the breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast and its many landmarks, such as Durdle Door, Worbarrow Bay, and Old Harry Rocks.
Alaine Harman is the event organiser, and says, “We have very much missed seeing our fundraisers and supporters at our events over the past year, and are very excited to be able to announce that the Jurassic Coast Challenge is back this year.”
“We, of course, all hope that Covid restrictions will be much lighter by then, but this event is out in the fresh air, and social distancing can be easily managed with groups setting off in phases if necessary.”
“Whether you would like to walk to remember a loved one, to support Weldmar after a tough year, or even just to take on the challenge, we are looking forward to seeing you with your walking boots on and ready to take on the Jurassic Coast Challenge this September.”

The Jurassic Coast Challenge is suitable for individuals, family members, groups of friends, or larger groups from your workplace or organisation.
All participants will receive a medal, and a pasty and glass of fizz at the finish line.
