Cambodia, France, Snowdon, and the Jurassic Coast: Weldmar unveils exciting new fundraising events for 2027

Weldmar Hospicecare is absolutely thrilled to announce the official launch of four spectacular new fundraising challenges for 2027!

The Weldmar Hospicecare Fundraising team has been working hard to curate a line-up of brand new events that offer truly exceptional experiences for supporters. You could be climbing Mount Snowdon under the stars or hiking through Cambodian villages and jungles. You could be cycling to the iconic Mont-Saint-Michel in France, or experiencing Dorset’s very own Jurassic Coast like never before.

These challenges will create the memories of a lifetime whilst making a real difference for hospice care in Dorset. All sponsorship raised by participants will go directly towards providing specialist care for adults in Dorset with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.

The new challenges, launched today, are:

Cambodia: Overseas Challenge ’27

An immersive multi-day expedition starting at the iconic temples of Angkor Wat, leading trekkers through remote villages, scenic mountain terrains, and sacred heritage sites.

Tour de Weldmar

A challenging five day, 240-mile bike ride from our hospice in Dorchester and culminating at the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy.

Snowdon by Night

A dramatic climb of the highest peak in England and Wales, heading to the summit under the stars in the early hours of the morning, before witnessing the spectacular sunrise over Snowdonia on the descent.

Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge

The return of the popular event, where you can choose distances ranging from 10km to 100km along Dorset’s beautiful, iconic coastline.

Director of Fundraising, Oliver Hoare, says, “Launching these four challenges today is incredibly exciting! For 2027, we’ve focused on bringing completely fresh and unforgettable experiences to our supporters, from the magic of Snowdon at night to the history of Cambodia.

“I’m so passionate about these adventures – each one is designed to be life-changing, both for the participants who take them on and for everyone at Weldmar, as they help us continue providing vital, specialist care to local people and their families experiencing life limiting illness.
