Appeal for Christmas volunteers!
We’re on the lookout for people to help with collections this coming January – every year, Weldmar Hospicecare collects Christmas trees across Dorset in return for a donation to the charity.
Weldmar is looking for volunteers from across Dorset, who could either drive their own van or truck on a collection route, or be navigators and additional helpers to assist with loading up the trees.
You’ll need to be fit and able to move trees up to 8ft tall onto and off vehicles.
How it works
- Trinity Street Christmas Trees, our partners, coordinate the collections for us this year. So, by completing the form below, you are agreeing for us to pass on your details.
- You are provided with a list of addresses around a specific local area to collect trees from, where they will be left outside.
- You are responsible for collecting all the trees on your list. We recommend working in pairs to load and unload the trees, or we could add you to a local ‘crew’.
- You will drop the trees off at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, where they will be chipped and recycled.
Please complete the form below to register your interest by Tuesday 7th January, and Trinity Street Christmas Trees be in touch with you.
