By taking on a skydive for Weldmar Hospicecare, you’ll be helping provide specialist care and support to people and families across Dorset.

You’ll be securely harnessed to a qualified tandem instructor who will guide you through every moment of your adventure.
Looking for a different challenge?
You can also choose to jump from 10,000ft, enjoying approximately 30 seconds of freefall followed by a five-minute parachute ride. Both options require a £50 deposit to secure your jump date.

How much does it cost to take part?
A £50 deposit secures your chosen skydive date with GoSkydive.
We ask our Weldmar Daredevils to raise a minimum of £550 to help support specialist hospice care across Dorset.
Alternatively, you can choose our self-funded option, where you cover the cost of your skydive yourself and commit to raising a minimum of £300 for Weldmar Hospicecare.

How high will I jump from?
Most of our Weldmar Daredevils choose the incredible 15,000ft tandem skydive, giving you approximately 60 seconds of exhilarating freefall at speeds of up to 120mph!
If you’d prefer, you can also choose a 10,000ft jump, which offers approximately 30 seconds of freefall.
Both options require a £50 deposit to secure your date.
How old do I need to be to skydive?
You must be at least 16 years old to take part in a tandem skydive.
If you’re aged 16 or 17, you’ll need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
There’s no upper age limit, so whether you’re 18 or 80, you could be taking on the adventure of a lifetime, provided you meet the health and fitness requirements!
Is there a weight limit?
GoSkydive has a maximum weight limit of 18 stone (114kg), including clothing. Your weight must also be proportionate to your height.
If you weigh between 15 and 18 stone, you’ll need to contact GoSkydive before booking to check your suitability.
Additional charges apply:
15–16 stone: £10
16–17 stone : £20
17–18 stone: £30
All participants are weighed on the day. Anyone exceeding 18 stone will unfortunately be unable to jump.

Absolutely! Taking the leap together makes the experience even more memorable.

Can I choose my own skydive date?
Can my friends and family come and watch?
Of course! We’d love you to bring your own cheering squad.
Your friends and family can come along to support you, enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate with you once your feet are safely back on the ground.
How do I start fundraising?
Once you’ve signed up, we’ll help you get started!
We recommend creating a JustGiving page so friends, family and colleagues can easily sponsor you.
You could also organise a bake sale, hold a raffle, arrange a fundraising evening or ask your workplace to support your challenge.
Every donation brings you closer to your target and helps support hospice care across Dorset.
What happens on the day?
From the moment you arrive, GoSkydive’s experienced team will guide you through your adventure.
You’ll check in, receive your safety briefing and get fitted with your skydiving equipment.
Then it’s time to board the aircraft and enjoy the flight up to your chosen jump height.
When the moment arrives, you’ll experience the incredible thrill of freefall before your instructor opens the parachute and you enjoy approximately five minutes floating back towards the ground.

What happens if the weather is bad?
Skydiving is weather-dependent, and safety always comes first.
If weather conditions aren’t suitable for jumping, GoSkydive will arrange for your skydive to be rescheduled
We recommend keeping the whole day available, as weather conditions can sometimes cause delays.
