Day 8 – Thlok Veary – Kulen – Thlok Veary
Setting off this morning, our trek takes us up through the Kulen Forest to the River of 1000 Lingas. After marvelling at this ancient site we head to the 16th century Preah Ang Thon Monastery, renowned for its giant reclining Buddha. We stop for lunch at a stunning waterfall where there is a chance for a dip before continuing our trek downhill to Preah Ang Chub. We return to the Pagoda for the night, and this evening there will be a presentation by an ex-victim of landmines, to learn more about the country’s past struggles and ongoing challenges.

Transfers: approx. 1 hr each way in vehicle at start and end of the day
Trek: 13 kms/7 hrs (steep steps and undulating, winding paths)
