Weldmar Hospicecare

Inter Faith Week

Veronica and Sophie are two of the Spiritual Care Volunteers within Patient and Family Support Services. The Spiritual Care team at Weldmar support patients, families, friends as carers as they need, whether this is to explore the answers to questions they may have, or simply being with the person in the moment they are in.

Sophie first met Veronica whilst her husband, Simon, was being cared for by Weldmar. Veronica was able to provide comfort and support to both Sophie and Simon during this time, including with the use of olive wood hearts that she uses as a way of connection and to also help calm and ground people.

The team welcome and support people of all philosophies, faiths, beliefs, world views as well as those who would not identify with any of these, and come from a wide range of faith and non-faith communities at Inter Faith Week!
