Welfare Support Worker

< BACK TO JOBS

A key part of Weldmar’s care for local families experiencing life limiting illness is providing emotional and practical support, as they navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. We’re looking for a compassionate professional for this new role of Welfare Support Worker.

As part of our Patient and Family Support Services team, you’ll manage your own caseload, providing high quality emotional support to patients and family members in our care. You’ll create a safe space for them to express their concerns, provide support and guidance on benefits, financial matters and other welfare related issues, and also advocate and signpost appropriate specialised support.
Excellent interpersonal skills are, of course, a must as you’ll not only be building strong rapport with individuals on your caseload, but also with the multi-disciplinary team at Weldmar, and external agencies.
If you’re ready to make a positive impact and have the relevant skills and experience, we’d love to hear from you.
An Enhanced plus barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required for this role.
