2026 Jurassic Coast Ultra challengers raise £21,748 for Weldmar Hospicecare

Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge participants can choose their distance, up to the 100km Ultra Marathon that’s run/ walked continuously over two days. This year’s team absolutely smashed the challenge, completing a variety of distances and raising a whopping £21,748 for Weldmar Hospicecare.

“We’re so proud of everyone who set off from the start line!” Said Weldmar’s Events and Challenges Fundraiser, Eden Fraser.

“There’s so much that goes into taking part on the day. They’ve put a huge amount of effort into training in all kinds of weathers and as a team have raised an incredible amount of money to help Weldmar continue providing specialist end of life care to patients, and supporting their loved ones.”

Regardless of which distant a participant chooses to take part in, everyone gets to face the undulating hills that help make the Jurassic Coast so iconic.

Taryn Ingleheart-Lee completed 42km in memory of her Dad who was cared for by Weldmar, and was delighted to cross the finish line.

“I’m so excited and relieved to be able to say I completed the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge Weymouth Marathon Loop today!” She said. “I did ask my Dad to help me out with the hills at Lulworth, but I don’t think he heard me!”
