Kingston Maurward floristry students design Christmas wreaths for Weldmar patients

< BACK TO NEWSAt this time of year especially, thoughtful little gestures can mean an awful lot.
Christmas can be difficult for patients, and their loved ones, when they are in need of a stay at Weldmar’s Inpatient Unit over the festive period.
In order to bring some cheer, Level 2 Floristry students from Kingston Maurward College in Dorchester have created Christmas wreaths for the hospice, one for each of our twelve beds.
Each wreath comes with a handwritten card from the student who made it.
Senior Sister Emma Mills says, “This is a really thoughtful gesture from the students. The Christmas wreaths will be placed around the Inpatient Unit. They will be a lovely addition to our festive decorations. They’ll be appreciated not only by patients and their visitors, but also the staff and volunteers who will be working over the holidays.”
