Weldmar’s Dorchester Clearance Outlet reopens with a fresh new look!

After a three week closure for a refit and refresh, Weldmar Hospicecare’s Dorchester Clearance Outlet on Poundbury West Industrial Estate is now officially back open!

On Tuesday 29th September, the Outlet was re-opened by Melanie Cairnduff cutting the ribbon. Mel is an Assistant Practitioner caring for people in the community in our Specialist Hospice at Home service, and she recently modelled for Weldmar’s Secondhand September campaign, promoting the joys and benefits of wearing secondhand fashion.

It was a brilliant open day, with both regular and new customers paying a visit to see the improvements for themselves – there were lots of fantastic comments about the light and the space, and the Outlet’s staff and volunteer team were kept busy all day selling pre-loved items from ceramic cats to cushions that perfectly matched a customers’ recently decorated living room.

June, a regular Weldmar customer, is thrilled with the update.

“I never go home until I’ve been here if I’m in town! It looks amazing, I’m so pleased, it looks lovely. Everybody can see everything, and the girls and all the volunteers are wonderful.”

“We’re now in line with our other stores that have been refurbished. The customer reaction has been absolutely fantastic this morning, we’ve put new doors in which will keep the unit warmer in the winter, there’s lots more light flooding in, the staff are absolutely over the moon with it.”
