Weldmar Hospicecare believes that a patient’s diagnosis, illness, and care can have a huge impact on the lives of their carers and relatives too. Much of our work with carers and families centres around helping to lessen some of those impacts by providing some much needed emotional support and/or practical assistance.
Based at the Inpatient Unit in Dorchester, this post requires someone to work alongside our Carers Support Coordinator providing ongoing support to carers and relatives. A regular commitment offering telephone support to carers on a minimum of one morning/afternoon a week is required. You will also be asked to help facilitate the Carers Groups held monthly.
