Meet the Fundraiser: Why Maggie is taking on our Overseas Challenge to Camino de Santiago

In October 2026, a team of Weldmar Hospicecare supporters will be taking on our next Overseas Challenge – heading to the historic Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail in Spain.

Maggie Hooper, from West Bay, will be taking on her first Overseas Challenge in memory of her partner, Nigel.

Here, she explains more about how much she’s looking forward to it, and why she wanted to ‘give back’ for all of the care Nigel and the family received.
