Your donations to Weldmar at Home Appeal doubled thanks to fellow local charity

< BACK TO NEWSA Dorset charity, that wishes to remain anonymous, has given Weldmar Hospicecare’s Weldmar at Home Appeal a huge boost.
The organisation has pledged to match every donation pound for pound, up to the value of £100,000.
For every hour’s worth of care that you donate for someone to spend their last days at home with the support of a Weldmar at Home carer, we’ll be able to provide two.
For every pound you donate, it will be doubled to two.
Matt Smith is Director of Fundraising and Marketing, and says, “We are absolutely delighted and extremely grateful that this local charity, who we have had a long term relationship with since 1992, have so very generously agreed to match all donations for the Weldmar at Home appeal.
“When the hospice was opened in January 1994, it was driven by the vision of ensuring that high quality end of life care was available to the people of Dorset. Some 27 years later this new service is based on the vision of ensuring that our care is available when and where people need us most. This is only thanks to the generosity of our local community and charities, such as this one, who enable us to continue our services 24 hours a day. On behalf of everyone at Weldmar Hospicecare, thank you.”
