Common Questions

What are the date and times of the Summer Fete?

The Summer Fete is taking place on Saturday 14th September from 11am-4pm.

How much is entry to the Summer Fete?

The Summer Fete is £2 entry and kids go free.

Where is the Weldmar Summer Fete located?

The summer fete will be in the meadow and gardens at our Inpatient Unit on Herringston Road, Dorchester, DT1 2SL.

Will there be any car parking at the Summer Fete?

There will be no car parking for visitors of the fete available at the Inpatient Unit. First Bus are kindly running a free shuttle bus from Dorchester Town Centre from the Dorchester South Station bus stop to the Inpatient Unit.

Will there be a shuttle bus to and from the Summer Fete?

There will be a shuttle bus running courtesy of First Bus between Dorchester South Station bus stop and the Inpatient Unit. You will still be able to pay for parking in Fairfield car park and then head across to the shuttle bus pick up point. The shuttle bus is free but please remember that normal parking charges apply in Fairfield Car Park.

The buses will be approximately every 25 minutes from Dorchester South Station bus stop / Inpatient Unit.

Will I need to bring cash?

There will be card machines at some stalls on site but some of our stalls will only be cash only so please bring plenty of cash with you as there will not be a cash point on site.

Will there be food and drink available at the Summer Fete?

There will be lots of stalls at the fete selling a variety of hot and cold food and drinks. Please feel free to bring your own food with you.

Can dogs come to the Summer Fete?

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads. We will be providing some shaded areas and water for them.


Clear down volunteers wanted!

Due to such a generous response from the community we have filled most of our volunteering opportunities but are still looking for volunteers to support clearing down the site from 4pm.
